National Puzzle Day

On Friday 28th January, we celebrated 'National Puzzle Day'.

Whether it's cracking codes, completing a crossword, playing a board game or completing a jigsaw, puzzles engage our brain in so many ways! It has been scientifically proven that puzzles are so good for our brain growth, using both sides of our brain at once. As a result, this improves memory and cognitive function and improves our problem solving skills. It is also lots of fun and great for teamwork! All in all...puzzles are great!

Children were invited to take part in our school competition. Their task was to design their own puzzle, bring it into school, teach their friends and play their games together.  Later in the afternoon they were then all displayed in the school hall to showcase the range of fantastic ideas. We were over the moon with the tremendous efforts and the imagination clearly demonstrated by everyone.
